He was a kernel engineer for BeOS (remember that operating system?) and I was reporting for it for the now defunct community site BeNews.com. We are still together after 9 years, happily married. In addition to rolling my truck, I had another experience where a friend was driving my car over a mountain pass. She lost control and we spun and slammed into the mountain side a couple of times. I was just so grateful we slammed into the mountain side and not off the mountain on the other side of the road ...
