Thanks for the info. I have a Kindle 2 and as a gift I received a cover, but realized it was for the original Kindle and didn’t fit properly. I am having difficulty finding the right cover since I don’t want to spend a fortune. The Kindle 2 screen is 5 3/4 inches and many of the covers say “fits a 6″ screen.” However, the one I received as a gift was too small for the Kindle 2.

I have a cover by Oberon design. They are great and very artistic. Provides protection for the Kindle. They currently have about 18 designs and each design is available in 3 colors. I’m sure you could find the right color and design you’d like. Their website is oberondesign.com

I wrote a review about Timbuk2 after I had taken the skin off my knuckles from putting the Kindle in and out of the bag, grazing them on the extra tuff velcro they used all the way across the top of the flap. They thanked me for pointing it out to them and took the product off the market, for a couple of months,(I am assuming to modify the design) If they have cured that problem by just putting two small patches of velcro to match up with the patches on the body of the case instead of all the way across the top, this is a really good case. Very robust and strong enough to protect the Kindle if dropped. Also when taken out of the case the Kindle props up nicely in the flap, making it easy to read and more comfortable to hold. I like it a lot, it looks good and can be man handled without fear.

Thank you so much for writing this. I have been going crazy reading reviews and this was the most helpful. I was looking at the Belkin but had read the M-edge was better quality. Now I feel great about pulling the trigger and ordering.
